近年、妊婦の歯周病と早産の関連性が多く報告されているが、関連がないという報告もある。そこで本研究では、日本人妊婦で免疫や炎症に関わる遺伝子型22種と歯周炎および早産の関係を解析した。その結果、早産と歯周病あるいは遺伝子型の問に単独での関連性は見られなかったが、多変量ロジスティック回帰分析で歯周病と遺伝子型が関与するモデルが得られた。
