当プロジェクト「ICタグ(RFIDタグ)を用いた標本管理法の標準化と応用」は、バーコードやQRコードなどの情報技術に遠隔性を付加したRFID 技術に焦点をあて、庫内の標本管理が同時に展示につながる応用システムを行うものであった。昨今の学芸員的人材の不足により、特に大学博物館では研究活動に加えて展示活動を行う必要が生じており、研究活動と展示活動を融合するシステムによりこれを解消する一提案である。
