従来の博物館、科学館等における様々な科学コミュニケーション・シーンにおいての「物語る」ことの役割を分析し、科学ナラトロジー(物語り学)について考察した。主な成果として、国立天文台構内に三鷹市「星と森と絵本の家」を平成21年7月開館予定。絵本の家での有効なラナティブの活用として「星の語り部」の活動を提案した。また、市民に科学を物語る場として、平成20年11月より三鷹駅前に「星と風のサロン」を開設し定点観察を継続している。
