项目摘要

1920年代と1930年代に日本の雑誌メディアには幾つかの言説がメディアを通して行われてきた。フェミニスト雑誌『女人芸術』と女性の総合雑誌『婦人倶楽部』に展開された言説・メディアを比較しながらの研究である。雑誌『女人芸術』はさまざまな角度からもフェミニスト雑誌であるといえる。雑誌『女人芸術』上掲載された座談会の発言を、他の雑誌メディア・新聞・著作をふまえ分析し、女性の問題意識に寄与してきたことをさらに証明した。今回は昭和7年に雑誌上で展開された座談会を中心に当時のマスメディアにおける<帝国主義>と<プロレタリア>がどのように同時に雑誌上で行われたことが興味深いことであった。しかし、<座談会>という媒体を通して行われた言説、女性問題に関する知識の普及といったものが、いかに女性に情報を提供し、女性たちの意識高揚(consciousness raising ; CR)に目指したかがさらに明らかになった。それから雑誌『女人芸術』はフェミニスト雑誌であることを『婦人倶楽部』と比しながら証明できる。雑誌『女人芸術』は読者の声を積極的に聞き入れ、雑誌上取り上げてそれを要望に答えるように政策を変えていった。これも女性の表現の場であった。「読者の声」、「「女人芸術」への要望」が頻繁に見られるようになった。雑誌『女人芸術』は商業雑誌のような編集方針を考えず、最終号まで女性の発表の場であった。しかも日本のインテリ女性だけでなく、労働階級の女性の発表の場でもあったことが明確になった。
