本研究は東アジアにおける伝統集落景観の構造について、GIS及び植生学的調査にもとづき、景観構造の仕組みを解明することを目的に実施している。本年度行った調査は下記のとおりである。1.沖縄・八重山諸島の巨木調査:DBH20cm以上の巨木の分布についてフィールド調査を実施した。島々の各集落を廻って、フクギ巨木を実測し、そのサイズや場所を記録した。2.奄美群島の巨木調査:DBH20cm以上の巨木の分布についてフィールド調査を実施した。奄美大島から世論島まで各集落におけるフクギ巨木を確定し、測定した。3.集落内の巨木調査:多良間島のフクギ屋敷林・ウタキフクギ林や集落の抱護の調査を実施した。毎木調査を行った。これにより集落の成立とフクギ巨木の植栽が一致しているのが分かった。4.集落の道の構造:住宅地図や航空写真など図面を利用、集落の道の分布図を作った。また、道の交差点の偏移度数を計算した。曲がりくねった道の作り方は島嶼地域における強風を防ぐためであることがわかった。これまでの研究で、フクギ巨木の樹齢分布の特徴、フクギ屋敷林の成立過程、集落を囲む抱護の林帯の特徴などから、琉球村落の景観づくりが、亜熱帯島嶼環境(冬の北風、夏の台風)の要因に大きく影響を受けて、北側と東南側を重視したレイアウトになっていることが分かった。以上の研究成果は、Pacific Agriculture and Natural Resources.に1報掲載される。その他は国際誌に投稿中である。また、本年度の調査データも含くむ、"Traditional Rural Landscapes in Island Topography in East Asia-Feng Shui villages with people living in the trees in Ryukyu Islands"というタイトルの著書を8月頃にアメリカのNOVA Sclence Publisherによる出版され予定です。

This study is aimed at understanding the structure of landscape architecture, GIS and botanical investigation. This year's survey was carried out under the name of. 1. Survey of giant trees in the Okino and Yaeyama Islands: Survey of distribution of giant trees above DBH20cm The island's colonies are under investigation, and the site is under investigation. 2. Survey of giant trees in Amami Islands:DBH distribution of giant trees above 20cm was carried out. Each colony of Amami Oshima was identified and measured. 3. Survey of giant trees in the colonies: survey of the protection of the colonies and the forest in Tarama Island Every wood survey is carried out. The establishment of these colonies and the planting of giant trees are consistent. 4. The structure of the settlement road: residential land, aerial photos, surface utilization, distribution of the settlement road Calculate the deviation of the intersection point of the two paths.曲がりくねった道の作り方は岛屿地域における强风を防ぐためであることがわかった。This study focuses on the characteristics of tree growth distribution, establishment process of forest, characteristics of forest zone for colony protection, landscape of Ryukyu villages, main factors affecting island environment (north wind in winter and typhoon in summer), and attention to north and southeast. The above research results are published in Pacific Agriculture and Natural Resources. He is the author of the book. This year's survey includes the book "Traditional Rural Landscapes in Island Topography in East Asia-Feng Shui villages with people living in the trees in Ryukyu Islands", which will be published in August.
