项目摘要

本年度においては、『金瓶梅』の所謂崇禎本につき、過去の研究においてあまり問題とされなかった版本を実見することを大きな目標として掲げ、特別研究員を中途辞退する2008年9月までにおいて二度、中国で調査を行った。まず6月に北京大学図書館・国家図書館(分館)と天津市図書館、次に後述する学会参加の渡航を兼ね7月に上海図書館にて調査を行った(二度目のみ科研費を使用)。まず6月の調査について述べる。北京大学図書館には三種類の崇禎本が所蔵されるが、影印本の出ている善本(非公開)を除く二種(残本と抄本)について調査し、残本が至る所に誤りがあり本文価値においては劣る本であること、抄本が原本の行款を忠実に反映した本で、文字は所謂上海図書館乙本に一致する点が多いことを確認した。また、国家図書館分館に普通古籍(普155594)として収められている残本が、未紹介の崇禎本であることを発見した(第68〜71回が残存)。天津図書館本については、既に報告もあるように、上海図書館乙本に近い本であることが確かめられた。7月の調査については、上海図書館所蔵の所謂甲・乙本を実見する予定であったが、乙本は非公開とのことで甲本のみを閲覧した。この本は一般に北京大学所蔵本(上記善本)に近いとされるが、挿図を仔細に眺めると、細部において異なる点が散見された。この他、7月10日から14日にかけて山東省臨清市において開かれた「第六届国際《金瓶梅》学術討論会」に参加し、「《金瓶梅》的人物描写--以第三十四回西門慶人物形象的"矛盾"為中心」と題する報告を行った。この研究会は数年に一度開催されるもので、中国での研究動向を肌で知る貴重な体験となった。
