2009年度では下記の論文が掲載され,また精力的に資料収集を行った。まず投稿論文「植民地期朝鮮における鉄道投資の基本性格に関する一考察-1923年朝鮮鉄道会社の成立を中心に-」での分析により,植民地統治機関は鉄道建設促進のために投資を保全する政策を実施せざるを得ず,投資家層は植民地統治機関の投資の保全が必要であったことを明らかにした。朝鮮の鉄道事業の投資家層と朝鮮総督府はこうした相互に規定しあう関係にあり,この関係のもとで投資家層は植民地財政に吸着していたことを解明した。投稿論文「植民地期朝鮮における『国有鉄道十二カ年計画』」により「国有鉄道十二箇年計画」の成立は植民地期朝鮮において経営難に陥った私鉄会社の投資家層による具体的な計画案の作成とそれをもとにした運動がその背景となり,同計画での私鉄会社一部路線の買収=国有化(朝鮮鉄道会社)が同社の救済策となっていたこと,また私鉄会社全路線の買収=国有化(図們鉄道会社)がそれを通じて同社への融資が不良化していた金融機関(東洋拓殖会社)に資金を還流させるものであったことが明らかになった。韓国・国家記録院において朝鮮殖産銀行および不二興業(農事会社)の内部資料を収集した。朝鮮殖産銀行の内部資料はこれまで日本では利用されておらず,韓国の一部の研究者が利用しているのみであった。この資料には総督府への各種報告・届出や総督府からの命令,株主総会議事録も含まれており,同じく朝鮮の植民地銀行であった朝鮮銀行に比べて資料が乏しい朝鮮殖産銀行の内実を明らかにする貴重な資料を収集することができた。1920年代以降,朝鮮殖産銀行は日本の証券市揚で調達した資金を総督府の政策に則って朝鮮の農業を中心に供給していたことから,同行の内部資料により日本の証券市場の発展と植民地経済政策の関係の解明が期待される。
