项目摘要

平成21年度の代表的な研究成果として、第25回日本中東学会年次大会において、クルド系アレヴィーの人々に関する社会範疇に関する考察を報告した。ここでは、対象となるアレヴィーの人々の自民族範疇、そして周辺村落の人々による「名付け」に見られる、さまざまな名称を整理検討した。そこから得られた知見をさらに実証的なデータとともに検討し、日本オリエント学会刊『オリエント』に、クルド系アレヴィーの人々に見るオジャクと呼ばれる社会範疇に関する整理検討を行い、その成果が学術論文として掲載された。オジャクには、儀礼集団としての側面と、預言者一族にその系譜を求める「聖者の系譜」としての側面があり、この2つの構造ともにオジャクの名で語られるのが通常であり、アレヴィーたちは自らがどの儀礼集団に属し、その儀礼集団を束ねているのはどの系譜に属する宗教指導者であるのかを語ることによって、自らをアレヴィーとして名乗ることを明らかにした。しかしながら、客観的に観察可能な差異から出発して各々の社会範疇を導き出すことは、論理的に不可能である。博士論文では、本研究で扱われる社会範疇の区分けがいずれも斉一に体系化されたものではなく、範疇に対する例外的な事象はいずれの水準においても存在しており、そうした例外や齟齬を含みつつ、自明の前提として人々の間に通用するこれらの範疇の内実を、大まかではあるが具体的に示すことができた。
