仮想バイアスに関する理論及び実験研究:経済的誘因を課さない仮想支払は経済的誘因を課した実際支払よりも有意に高くなるという仮想バイアスの存在が広く指摘されてきたが、そのバイアスが発生する要因の解明はこれまで重要な課題として残されてきた。閾値付公共財供給ゲームに支払の不確実性と供給の不確実性を導入することで、この仮想バイスが生じる原因を理論的に明らかにした。また、経済実験を用いて、理論的予測の信頼性を確認した。この結果、支払の確率と供給の確率の相対的な比率の変動が、これまで観察されてきた仮想バイアスの現象を極めてよく説明しうることを発見した。この結果は、今後のサーベイデザインやどのようにバイアスを緩和するかという現実的な課題に極めて有用である。確率的住民投票の誘因両立性に関する理論及び実験研究:確率的住民投票の誘因両立性を分析した。住民投票の結果に基づいて実際の政策が実施される確率が正の場合、その公共プロジェクトの是非を巡る確率的住民投票における各被験者の投票は誘因両立性を満たすことを理論及び実験において示した。最終的な帰結として、費用は徴収されるがプロジェクトは実施されない、或いは、費用の徴収なしにプロジェクトが実施されるといった状況が生じうる場合、被験者のリスク態度が投票結果に影響を与え、真の価値分布の推定が困難になることが示された。生態学的情報提供が支払意志額に与える影響に関する実験研究:生態学に基づいた情報の提供が、自然再生への支払意志額分布に与える影響を分析した。情報の支払意志額平均値への影響のみならず、分散への影響を同時に捉えた。認知度が比較的高い水質や絶滅危惧種の保全再生対策に関しては、比較的弱い情報効果が観察された一方で、認知度の比較的低い生物多様性の保全再生対策に関しては、比較的強い情報効果が観察された。
