Basic Research for Creating a New Framework of English Grammar for Learners

The main purpose of this research project was to give scientific foundation to the contents of English education in Japan. The contents of English education in this country contain many false and unnatural grammatical rules and expressions fabricated out of those false grammatical rules. Our research results were presented in various ways, and new findings were constantly presented at various conferences at home and abroad, thus ascertaining the legibility of our findings during the past four years.
