Setting the study sites in Indochina region, we conducted field researches on chronic hazards surrounding vulnerable people, mechanisms of resilience in community and practical approaches to enhance livelihood security. We identified socio-ecological characteristics, chronic hazards, resilience of community, coping activities in natural disaster, and improved approaches for community development. The results were reported as academic publication. Remarkable achievement was the contribution to implementation, i. e. JICA grassroots project on
