A survey on Traditional Architectures of Shanxi Merchants' Courtyard Houses Seen from Composition of Architectural Space and Ethnic Arts

根据对晋商四合院空间特征的调查发现，晋商四合院内部的空间构成和排水系统遵循传统的空间等级制度。但四合院的聚集原则并不常见。此外，版画的隐喻意义是根据建筑空间的用途和用途来安排的，而且与周围的聚落相比，王氏四合院内的神龛种类较少。

According to our survey on the spatial characteristics of Shanxi merchants' courtyard houses, it turns out that the spatial composition and drainage system inside the courtyard houses follow the traditional spatial hierarchy. But the gathering principles of courtyard houses are not common. Additionally, it turns out that the metaphorical meaning of engravings was arranged in accordance with user and usage of the architectural space, and also that there are less kinds of shrines inside Wang Clan's Courtyard Houses in comparison with surrounding settlements.
