Honma Hisao as an Introducer of European Culture

这项研究的目的是通过生于1886年的本马久雄的活动，阐明大正时期欧洲文化的输入。本间久雄曾就读于早稻田大学，师从Tsubouchi Shoyo和Shimamura Hogetsu。他在大正时期是一位活跃的文学批评家，并致力于引进欧洲思想，后来成为一名专门研究英国文学和明治文学的学者。通过本间的活动，我试图把握大正时期欧洲文化输入的特点与当时的民族精神不同于明治或昭和时期。

The aim of this research is to clarify the importation of European culture during the Taisho Period through the activity of Honma Hisao, who was born in 1886, studied at Waseda University under Tsubouchi Shoyo and Shimamura Hogetsu. He was active as literary critic and engaged in importing European thoughts during the Taisho Period and later became a scholar specializing in English literature as well as Meiji literature.Through Honma's activities, I attempt to grasp the characteristics of the importation of European culture during the Taisho Period in relation to the ethos of the time which is different from those of Meiji or Showa Period.
