Assessing the Possibilities and Limitations of a Method for Economic Advancement : A Cultural Anthropological Study of Model Villages for Development in Fiji

本研究项目旨在通过人类学视角的经济发展示范村探索，了解经济发展与传统文化之间的关系。作为研究项目的结果，我可以清楚地了解对传统的态度如何影响适应经济发展理念的方式。部分研究成果于2009年发表，并于2010年获得日本海洋学会奖。

The aim of this research project is to understand the relationships between economic advancement and traditional culture by exploring the model village for economic development from the anthropological perspective. As the result of the research project, I can make clear how attitude toward tradition affects the way of accommodating the concept of the economic development. Part of this research result was published in 2009 and the book was awarded the prize of Japanese Society for Oceanic Studies in 2010.
