Therapeutic strategy for prevention of the recurrent middle ear cholesteatoma

乳突封堵术治疗中耳胆脂瘤的疗效已得到公认，但其术后的长期稳定性及残留胆脂瘤的风险仍存在争议。本研究的目的是为了证明骨头重建后管壁的术后稳定性，并评估乳突腔内残留胆脂瘤的发病机制。我们成功地建立了乳突闭塞和残留胆脂瘤动物模型。

Efficacy of the mastoid obliteration for the patients with middle ear cholesteatoma has been well recognized, however, the long-term stability after this surgical procedure and the risk of residual cholesteatoma are still in discussion. The aims of this study were to demonstrate postoperative stability of the reconstructed posterior canal wall made with bone pate and to evaluate the pathogenesis of residual cholesteatoma in the obliterated mastoid cavity. We successfully established the animal models of mastoid obliteration and residual cholesteatoma.
