项目摘要

【計画】昨年度、民生委員及び小学校・中学校の教諭を対象に高齢者虐待予防に関する意識調査を行った。その結果より、その必要性は多く支持され、教育の時期として小学生低学年、または高学年の時期からという意見が多くを占めた。今年度は、小学生を対象としたプログラム開発を地域の人々と共同開発を行い、試行し修正を加え、評価を含めたプログラムモデルを示すことであった。【結果】昨年度の民生委員及び小学校・中学校の教諭の調査結果を受けて、虐待という言葉の子供に与える影響や内容のむずかしさを指摘する意見が多数あった。さらに調査対象地域の一つA地域1では小学校の「いのちの教育」の取り組みの中で、この13年間毎月「いのちを考える集会」を行っており、このことは住民の中にも深く浸透しており、この学習の一環として取り入れる案が多く出されていた。したがって第一に小学校及び中学校の学習指導要領の高齢者に対する捉え方、考え方の分析、第二にA地域における「いのちを考える集会」の概要の理解、第三に高齢者虐待予防に関する教育プログラムの検討のそれらの視点で、共同研究者間で教育内容を検討した。1.学習指導要領の中では(1)弱者としての視点(2)豊かな体験と生活を支えてきた人としての視点で捉えている。命の教育では、「限りある命」「連続する命」「魂としての命」など、時間軸と空間軸の中での広がりを持った視点で命を捉えている。これらをふまえ、小学生が自分の祖父母とどのような経験を通して高齢者を理解するのかを中心に、5種類のプログラムを作成した。今年度は、地域で実践展開するまでには至らなかった。
