International comparison concerning motivation for sports behavior and self-image

本研究通过一项针对体育运动员的国际比较，考察了各国在体育行为、动机和自我形象方面的动态，目的是通过比较来阐明日本运动员的动机和自我形象的特征。通过对来自西方和亚洲4个国家的学生运动员的适应性体育行为、目标取向、他人取向动机和文化自我形象之间的关系的研究，发现看待自己的方式对体育行为动机有影响，并广泛地指出了体育行为差异的关系。此外，这些关系在每个国家都是不同的，日本竞争对手的特征变得明显。

This study examined the dynamism concerning sports behavior, motivation, and self-image of each country from an international comparison targeting sports competitors with the purpose of clarifying the characteristics of the motivation and self-image of Japanese competitors through the comparison. Upon examining the relationship between adaptive sports behavior, target orientation, motivation of orientation towards others, and cultural self-image of student competitors from 4 countries in the West and Asia, the way of viewing oneselfwas shown to have an impact on motivation for sports behavior, and a relationship of differences in sports behavior was broadly indicated. Furthermore, these relationships were shown to be different for each country, and the characteristicof Japanese competitors became apparent.
