The International Labor Migration Between China and Japan:Mechanism and Socio-Economic Impacts

在为期3年的研究期间（2009-2012年），我们根据实地调查和官方统计，分析了亚洲两个最重要的经济体中国和日本之间的劳动力（人口）迁移。通过对双向移民规模、移民的地理分布/行业分布及其影响因素、国际移民对目的地城市的经济社会影响等的调查和分析，在日本和中国举办的国际会议和研讨会上发表了多篇论文和研究报告。其中一些已在学术期刊或政策性杂志上发表。此外，部分研究成果已被编辑成日文书籍《中国新移民与中国经济发展：从人才流失到人才循环》，将于2012年7月由多贺书版（东京）出版。

During the 3-year study period(2009-2012), based on field surveys and official statistics, we analyzed the labor(population) migration between China and Japan, the two most important economies in Asia. The bi-direction migration scales, the geographical distribution/industrial distribution of migrants and the underlying factors of these distributions, and the economic/social impacts of these international migration on the destination regions/cities are examined and clarified.Based on such surveys and analysis, several papers and research reports have been presented at international conferences and seminars held in Japan and China. Some of them have been published in academic journals or policy-oriented magazines. In addition, a part of research results have been edited into a Japanese book titled as The New Chinese Migrants and China's Economic Development : From Brain Drain to Brain Circulation, which will be published by the Taga Shupan(Tokyo) in July, 2012.
