It was revealed that the prevalence of dental caries in school children with disabilities increased with age, and the rate was particularly high among mentally retarded children, who had difficulty cooperating with routine dental examination procedures. It is necessary to provide support for recommended oral care practices before children reach school age. Considering the background factors including transport accessibility, costs, and the burden on accompanying family members, it is needed to establish a system that gives preschool children access to personal dentists. Visual tools such as picture cards may effectively deliver information on tooth brushing and dental examinations.

结果显示，残疾学童的龋齿患病率随年龄增长而增加，弱智儿童的龋齿患病率尤其高，他们难以配合例行的牙科检查程序。有必要在儿童达到学龄前为推荐的口腔护理做法提供支持。考虑到交通便利性、费用和陪同家庭成员的负担等背景因素，需要建立一个让学龄前儿童获得私人牙医的制度。视觉工具，如图片卡，可以有效地提供有关刷牙和牙科检查的信息。
