The high percentage of lawsuits related to oral surgery under types of medical care is attributable to the fact that oral surgery involves many invasive manipulations, which may cause postoperative accidental complications and can largely affect the prognosis. The high percentage of lawsuits related to crown prosthodontics can be explained by the highly esthetic nature of manipulations used in crown prosthodontics. Therefore, when these 2 types of treatments are provided the patients should be given adequate explanation and sufficient time to make an informed decision about the therapeutic strategy. In addition, high level of healthcare is required, and adequate training and precautions are necessary when implant treatment, high levels of surgical treatment, etc., are provided.
