该研究的目的是改善和加强学童的健康，重点是预防和控制肠道寄生虫感染，这是老挝长期存在的公共卫生问题之一。老挝是一个多民族国家，在肠道寄生虫患病率、生活习惯、综合预防方案和民族障碍因素方面存在许多差距。此外，本研究还发现研究人群的文化、生活方式和基本学习技能对健康教育效果的差距，并得出结论，预防计划必须与这些民族的特点和习惯相匹配。卫生措施是日常习惯的一部分，需要进行健康教育，重点是改变他们自己的传统生活方式。

The purpose of the study is to improve and enhance health of school children, focusing on prevention and control of intestinal parasite infections which is one of the perpetual public health problems in Laos. Laos being multiethnic country, there are many gaps on prevalence of intestinal parasites, lifestyle habit, comprehensive preventative programs and obstructive factors by ethnic groups. Furthermore, the study identified the gap on effectiveness of health education by study groups culture, lifestyle and basic academic skills and concluded that preventative program must matched with these ethic's characteristics and habits. Sanitary measures are part of daily habit and require health education focusing on change on their own traditional lifestyle.
