项目摘要

本年度はのべ50日間研究対象地域に赴き,昨年度に引き続き,資料および史料の収集と聞き取り調査を行った。1年目の調査結果をもとに,京都市左京区静原地区,鞍馬地区,北白川地区,北区鷹峯地区に加えて,北区上賀茂地区においても生業の変化に伴う地域の変化についての聞き取り調査を行い,データを収集した。聞き取り調査から,いずれの地域においても「振り売り」と呼ばれる,生産者が直接消費者の元へ赴き,得意先に販売するスタイルが確認され,販売を担当するのは主に女性であることが分かった。地域や扱う商品によって,現在も行われているものと既に消滅したものがあるが,いずれにせよ振り売りを行う女性行商人は,都市京都と近郊地域を結ぶ役割を果たしていたことが見出された。対象とした地域の生業変化と地域の変化のプロセスを踏まえたうえで,以上の成果を博士論文としてまとめ,学術雑誌へ投稿する予定である。また,昨年度は,京都府立総合資料館において,皇国地誌の稿本である「愛宕郡村誌」および「葛野郡村誌」(1881～1884年)の閲覧および撮影を許可された。郡村誌は,各村落の地勢,人口,世帯数など基本となる統計情報に加えて,生業や物産が記されている。博士論文をまとめる過程で,郡村誌に記された村落ごとの生業および物産を地図化し,京都の近郊地域を視覚的に捉え,本研究で対象とした集落の位置づけを行う。この成果については,上述の論文とは別に発表する予定である。さらに,研究代表者の修士論文と昨年度に行った補充調査を合わせて,その成果を学術雑誌「歴史地理学」に投稿した。多少の修正で2011年度内に掲載可の査読結果を得,現在修正中である。
