项目摘要

本研究の目的は、相互意思決定における意思決定主体の主観性の影響を扱う理論的枠組を構築すること、及びそれに基づき社会厚生に関する示唆を提供することである。方法論として、代表的な数理的意思決定理論のゲーム理論、特に主観性や認識の諸問題を扱うハイパーゲーム理論に基礎を置く。本年度の主要な成果は、以下の二点。一点目は、独自に発展した二つの不完備情報ゲームの理論であるハイパーゲーム理論とベイジアンゲームのモデルについて、互いの関連を厳密に整理したことである。具体的には、ハイパーゲームは自然にベイジアンゲームとしても再定式化でき、さらに各モデルにおいて用意されているいくつかの均衡概念は同じ分析結果をもたらすことを示した。また一方で、対象とする状況によってはハイパーゲームのみが対処できることを論じた。こうした理論的基礎の整備が、不完備情報ゲームに関する研究の今後の発展の一助となれば幸いである。二点目は、ハイパーゲームが繰り返しプレイされる状況において、主体の意思決定がゲームの長期的な結果にどのように影響するのかを分析する枠組みを提供したことである。具体的には、まず各期のプレイの結果が各主体の認識の更新にどのように影響するかを整理した上で(それまでこのような認識の更新を扱うハイパーゲームのモデルは存在しなかった)、主体の意思決定基準と長期的に達成される均衡との関連について調べた。その結果、例えば、ある状況では、短期的には非合理的な選択をすることが、長期的には社会厚生の増大に寄与することを示した。以上の成果から、本研究の目的をある程度は達成したものと考える。
