项目摘要

当該年度の研究は、(1)付帳を中心とする資料調査と、(2)音楽分析による近代歌舞伎の実態解明である。(1)1.六合新三郎旧蔵の付帳コレクションのデータベース完成早稲田大学演劇博物館所蔵の六合コレクションに納められる付帳330冊(のべ941作品)を対象に、これまでに行なった調査を踏まえ、附帳に記された上演情報を番付などの他資料による上演情報と校合して、より精確なデータベースを完成させた。(1)2.杵屋花叟旧蔵の付帳コレクションの調査大谷図書館所蔵の付帳調査は、1200余冊あると言われる付帳のうち、156冊(384作品)の調査を終えた。年代は昭和初期、大歌舞伎から小芝居、新派まで多岐にわたる上演の付帳コレクションであることが明らかになった。(1)3.中村兵蔵の付帳調査中村兵蔵が記した新派付帳の調査は104冊のうち、21冊を修了した。(1)4.明治期雑誌記事における陰囃子関連記事の調査明治期の演劇雑誌および音楽雑誌における陰囃子関連の記事の調査を行なった。(2)1.歌舞伎の『不如帰』上演について中村芝翫を中心とする一座が新派作品を手がけた上演を取り上げ、とくに『不如帰』について、上演の実態を上演に至る経緯、脚色、演技についてまとめた上で、音楽演出を分析・考察し、その独自性を明らかにした。(『歌舞伎-研究と批評-』(投稿予定))(2)2.女役者、中村歌扇について女役者として、歌舞伎、新派、活動写真など多岐にわたる活躍を見せた中村歌扇は、これまで音楽研究ではもちろん、演劇研究でも忘れられてきた存在であった。今回は近代歌舞伎の一側面として、歌扇をとりあげ、その多彩な演劇人生を追った。新聞記事を主な資料として、まずはその活躍の実態を明らかにした。(『東京芸術大学音楽学部紀要』(投稿予定))
