本研究の目的は音楽のメロディーや和声のような「楽曲中に複雑に遷移する特徴」とヒトの音楽聴取時の認知メカニズムとの特異性を解明することである。「音楽聴取時で重要となるのは音楽特有の時系列遷移による」という仮説を立て、これには楽曲全体にわたる特徴を定量的に評価する。当初は,脳活動測定によって脳レベルの検証を行うこととしていた.しかしながら初年度に音楽そのもののモデル化にあたり重要となる要素の選定やそのモデル化について十分な考察を行うことに重点をおくことをより重視することにしたため,その重要性やモデル化の妥当性を検証するのに演奏表情に注目することとした.研究ステップとして,(1)表情豊かな演奏の生成モデルの構築(2)演奏の生成モデルでの音楽の特徴量の検証の有効性の検証(3)演奏表情生成モデルをもとにした,音楽の特徴量の数理モデル化とその特徴量の重要性の検証とし,初年度に(1)を達成した,今年度は昨年にひきつづき(2)を、さらに(3)を行った.(1)と(2)の成果をまとめ,演奏生成モデルが十分な精度を持っていることを示した論文を学会誌へ投稿を行った。また(2)にかんするレビュー論文を執筆し、投稿した。
