项目摘要

継続的な携帯電話の技術の進歩は、「ライフログ」という人間の行い(ライフ)をデジタルデータとして記録(ログ)することを可能にした。ライフログにはユーザーの携帯電話の操作により自動的に記録されるものがある。収集されたデータには、コンピュータ上の文章、メール、オーディオ、写真、ビデオ、センサ情報(加速度計と心拍数など)がある。これら携帯電話の利用履歴からの「いつ、どこで、誰が」という情報を組み合わせることで、過去の出来事を記憶し今後の予定を計画することができる。最終的に履歴は極めて詳細な記憶のアーカイブに蓄積されるが、保存されているデータの多くには重要でない情報も含まれている可能性がある。本研究の目的は二つある。一つ目は、記録するデータを最小化しながらもユーザーにとって重要な瞬間を最大限生かすことでライフログを使いやすくすること。ユーザーの心拍数を計測して自動的に写真とオーディオを記録するソフトウェアを開発した。研究の成果を、米国のアトランタ市で開催された国際ワークショップ「CHI 2010 Workshop-Know Thyself : Monitoring and Reflecting on Facets of One's Life」で発表した。二つ目は、記録されたデータ内で主観的に重要な情報を抜き出して記憶すること。このためメモリのトレーニングのソフトウェアを開発した。実験のために携帯電話とネットブックを使用した。研究の成果は、米国のロサンゼルス市で開催された国際会議「SIGGRAPH 2010」と台湾の台北市で開催された国際会議「ACE 2010 : 7th Int.Conf.on Advances in Computer Entertainment Technology」において発表された。
