The function of"resignation"in life-span development : focusing on experience of loss

The present study investigated the process of occur posttraumatic growth(PTG)from loss experiences, focusing on cognitive coping strategy called "resignation" which was an index of one's active regulation of development and examine its usefulness. As a result, the possibility that the cognitive coping strategy called "the resignation" consisting of three factors called "active reconciliation" "change of the viewpoint" "aggressive confrontation" that this study revealed brought positive developmental change after the loss experience and mental resilience was suggested.
