Chromatin immunoprecipitation-based analysis of transcriptional regulation in Arabidopsis thaliana chloroplasts

为了进一步阐明拟南芥叶绿体中的转录调控机制，本研究建立了基于染色质免疫沉淀（ChIP）的方法。分别鉴定了拟南芥中必需的sigma因子SIG1和多重胁迫诱导的叶绿体sigma因子SIG5的新靶启动子。这些结果表明，ChIP分析是有用的，以了解叶绿体基因的转录调控。

In this study, to further clarify transcriptional regulation in Arabidopsis thaliana chloroplasts, Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)-based method has been established. Novel target promoters for SIG1, an essential sigma factor in A.thaliana, as well as those for SIG5, a multiple stress-induced chloroplast sigma factor were identified respectively. These results suggest that ChIP analysis is useful to understand transcriptional regulation of chloroplast genes.
