CMP-sialic acid synthetase (CSS) is a prerequisite enzyme in sialic acid biosynthesis and localizes in the nucleus. First, we showed that the protein expression of CSS was regulated by proteasome in NIH3T3 cells. Then, The knockdown of CSS in medaka (Oryzias latipes) embryo using morpholino antisense oligo technique lead to the fatal lethality.

cmp -唾液酸合成酶（CMP-sialic acid synthetase， CSS）是唾液酸生物合成的必备酶，定位于细胞核内。首先，我们发现在NIH3T3细胞中，CSS的蛋白表达受到蛋白酶体的调控。然后，利用morpholino反义寡核苷酸技术敲除水稻（Oryzias latipes）胚胎中的CSS，导致其致命致死。
