项目摘要

本研究は、韓国東南部の中心地である大邸を生活舞台とする華僑の生活実践を調査し、彼らの韓国社会への定着過程に伴う地域社会とのネットワークを考察する。本研究を通して、華僑が韓国人と接する場に現れる韓国社会の様相、およびその様相に対する華僑の対応方式を明らかにする。平成23年3月31日から平成24年4月3日にハワイで開かれたAAS & ICAS Joint Conferenceにおいて論文(「Holes of the "multiculturalism" Policies in Contemporary Korea」)を発表した。会議に出席した研究者達から、建設的なコメントを得ることができた。5月からは、今まで整理・分析してきたデータを中心に、より具体的な論文構成および章立てを行なった。6月には、指導教官・副指導教官に対する発表の機会をもうけ、地域社会におけるネットワークづくりの主体となる華僑協会に、調査の焦点を絞るという方向性が決まった。7月9日から9月1日にかけて、大邸の開業医を中心にインタビュー調査を行った。また、7月中旬には、韓国の近代的な鍋の歴史を一般向けに紹介した論文、「韓国の鍋、ネムビ」を執筆した。本稿は、味の素の食文化センターが発刊する『ヴェスター』84号に掲載された。9月から12月にかけては補足調査の内容を整理しつつ、引き続き指導教官との議論を行い、論文目次の作成と論文の章立てを完成させた。12月から平成24年の3月にかけては、第1章(韓国華僑とは何か)と第4章(華僑協会内部の葛藤)の執筆にあたってきた。
