项目摘要

今年度は数年前から継続的に進めていた不完備情報ゲーム理論を用いた慈善家の寄付行動のモデル化の研究を完成させた。本研究は今年度、アメリカ合衆国に本部を置く公共経済理論学会の国際査読誌であるJournal of Public Ecqnomic Theoryに掲載が認められた。本研究の第一の意義は、寄付行動をゲーム理論における協調ゲームに基づいてモデル化することを世界で最初に提案した点である。協調ゲームとは有名なゲーム形式のひとつで、完全情報の下では全員が協力することと、全員が協力しないことのふたつが均衡となる。寄付行動のモデルにおいては協力することは寄付すること、協力しないことは寄付しないこと解釈される。不完全情報下、とくにグローバルゲームと呼ばれる情報の不完全度が非常に高いケースでは、一部の慈善家が協力し、一部の慈善家が協力しないのであるが、これは現実を非常にうまく表現している。本研究の今年度における改良点を以下にあげる。まず慈善家の持つ利得(ペイオフ)を変更した。論文の査読者の指摘に従い、より準利他性と呼ばれる性質を表現した利得とし、それに合わせて論文を全面改訂した。準利他性は近年の行動経済学的研究により、寄付行動での慈善家に広く存在すると認められてきている性質である。また、均衡概念を変更した。従来は被支配戦略の逐次消去による均衡という概念を使っていたのだが、この均衡概念を用いるためには一部不自然な仮定が必要であった。今回、均衡概念をベイジアンナッシュ均衡へと改め、合わせて主定理の証明を変更した。それにより不自然な仮定を取り除いた。これらの変更により本研究は国際査読誌に掲載が認められる水準に改善された。
