近年,映像共有サービスの普及に伴い大量の映像データがWeb上に存在しており,これらを効果的に検索する技術の必要性が高まっている.研究当初より,効果的な映像検索技術の確立のために「検索履歴に基づくユーザの嗜好を考慮した映像検索」及び「Web上の膨大な量の映像への応用」の2点に焦点を絞り研究を進めてきた.本年度は,検索履歴に基づくユーザの嗜好を考慮した映像検索を実現する為に,Web上から取得可能な映像をアップロードしたユーザの情報を用いた映像検索法を提案した.具体的には,映像をアップロードしたユーザと関係のあるユーザをWebページ間のリンク関係とみなしてユーザコミュニティの抽出を行う.これにより,類似した映像を好むユーザの集合の抽出が可能となる.さらに,得られたユーザコミニュニティに属するユーザのアップロードした映像に対して,これまで我々が提案してきたWebコミュニティに基づく映像検索手法を適用することにより,より効果的な映像検索の実現が可能となった.また,本手法によって大規模データセットに対しても予めユーザの関係性のみに注目してユーザコミュニティを抽出し,それらに含まれる映像の解析を行うことで映像検索が可能となるため,処理の並列化が可能となる.そのため,昨年度に比べて,より大規模データセットへの適用が可能となった.さらに,ユーザコミュニティを昨年度提案したWeb映像の関係性を俯瞰可能とする可視化手法を用いて可視化することにより,類似ユーザ情報に基づく映像検索を可能とした.これにより,映像を検索したいユーザが所望する映像に対する検索キーワード等のクエリを持たない場合においても,効果的な検索が可能となった.
