Creative longevity medicine study of depression prevention related with work retirement by regulated age in Japan

【Purpose】To investigate change of psychological health and stress-coping ability among retirees from local government office in Japan.【Method】We distributed questionnaire includes depression scale(SDS) and sense of coherence(SOC) etc. to retirees.【Result】After 1year from retirement, psychological health was significantly improved, and stress-coping ability got strong. But after 2years from retirement, psychological health got worse and stress-coping ability got weak. SOC was the strongest risk factor for depression after retirement.
