Comparative study on international consortium of universities: Competition and collaboration in the field of higher education

International consortium of universities is a formal network of higher education, whichaims to create platforms for collaboration for more global competitiveness. This studycategorized various existing consortia into several groups and compared a case ofpurpose-general/invitation-only type of consortium and purpose-specific/open-to-alltype. As a tentative result, the study points out several aspects that a participatinguniversity should consider to take an advantage of such opportunity.
