Complex dynamics of various self-propelled multi-element systems has been studied through combinations of experiments, data-analysis and mathematical modeling. In particular, the roles of fluctuation and the diversity in individual systems have carefully been investigated, and some basic mechanisms shared by different systems have been uncovered.

通过实验、数据分析和数学建模相结合的方法，对各种自行式多单元系统的复杂动力学进行了研究。特别是，对波动和多样性在个体系统中的作用进行了仔细的研究，揭示了不同系统共有的一些基本机制。
