Regulation of reactivity in high-valent iron porphyrincomplexes by means of electron configuration

为了揭示高价铁卟啉配合物的反应性与电子结构之间的关系，我们尝试建立了六配位铁(IV)卟啉的合成方法。通过添加叠氮等强场配体，铁(III)卟啉自由基阳离子转变为双叠氮配合物，以铁(IV)卟啉和铁(III)自由基的平衡混合物形式存在。

In order to reveal the relationship between reactivity and electronic structures of high-valent iron porphyrin complexes, we have tried to establish the synthetic method to obtain 6-coordinate iron(IV) porphyrin. By the addition of strong-field ligand such as azide, iron(III) porphyrin radical cation has been converted to bis(azide) complex, which turns out to exist as an equilibrium mixture of iron(IV) porphyrin and iron(III) radical.
