《テーマ1》冷え症に関連する危険因子についての横断研究集積されたデーターについて、SASSをもちいて解析を行っている。《テーマ2》冷え症への当帰四逆加呉茱萸生姜湯の効果についての無作為化比較試験冷え症を有する女性に対して、平成22年11月から12月にかけて募集活動を行い、その結果29名について文書による同意を得た。これらの被験者を無作為にA群15名、B群14名と割り付け、平成23年1月上旬に全員に対して、大阪府立健康科学センターにて冷水負荷による手掌温度(サーモグラフィー)・手掌血流(レーザー血流計)、DEXA式骨密度、上腕血圧、血圧脈波(PWV/ABI)、起立負荷時血圧・脈波解析、採血による生理指標、免疫学的指標を測定した。検査終了後より、両群に生活指導を行うとともに、A群にはツムラ当帰四逆加呉茱萸生姜湯エキス顆粒(医療用)を7.5g/を1日3回食前で服用開始とした。2月上旬に冷え症、副作用の調査を行い、3月上旬に再度大阪府立健康科学センターにて同様の検査(一部項目省略)を行った。なお、この間A群において1名に胃痛が生じたが、内服量を5.0gに減らすことで症状は消失した。その他の副作用もみられなかった。さらに、問診票にて自覚的ストレス、生活習慣(食習慣、身体活動、飲酒、喫煙、睡眠)、冷え症に関する自覚症状などの調査も1月および3月の時点で行った。現在、これらデーターの整理・入力中であり、その後はSASSをもちいて解析にかかる予定である。
