We demonstrated an association between IL28B and ITPA genotypes and response to antiviral therapy and adherence to therapy, respectively, in chronic hepatitis C patients. Association between PNPLA3 genotype and non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases or severe steatois in chronic hepatitis C and association between PNPLA3 genotype and development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in chronic hepatitis C patients who had been treated with antiviral therapy were revealed. Finally, association between PNPLA3 genotype and HCC of non-viral origin and association between MICA genotype and hepatitis C virus-related HCC were demonstrated by an analysis of a substantial number of patients.

在慢性丙型肝炎患者中，我们分别证明了IL28B和ITPA基因型别与抗病毒治疗的反应和坚持治疗的相关性。本研究揭示了PNPLA3基因与慢性丙型肝炎患者非酒精性脂肪性肝病或重度脂肪肝的关系，以及PNPLA3基因与接受抗病毒治疗的慢性丙型肝炎患者发生肝细胞癌的关系。最后，通过对大量患者的分析，证明了PNPLA3基因与非病毒来源的肝癌以及MICA基因与丙型肝炎病毒相关的肝细胞癌的相关性。
