Preoperative chemo-radiation therapy for rectal cancer by analysis of chemo-radiation sensitizing gene expression

本研究探讨24例直肠癌患者放化疗的疗效，包括13例放化疗高敏患者(高敏组)和11例放化疗低敏患者(低敏组)，分析放化疗增敏基因的表达。高敏感组13例中有12例出现下降期，而低敏组11例中有10例出现下降期。高敏组13例中有11例化疗后行结肠镜活检，低敏组11例中有2例在化疗后行结肠镜活检。高敏组13例中有4例术后切除脏器病理组织学完全治愈。高敏感组13例中有2例有无淋巴结结构的壁外癌沉积，而低敏感组11例中有7例有癌结膜外沉积。目前尚不清楚放化疗对基因表达的增敏作用。

This study tried to demonstrate the effect of chemo-radiation therapy for 24 patients with rectal cancer including 13 high sensitive patients for chemo-radiation (high sensitive group) and 11 low sensitive patients for chemo-radiation (low sensitive group) as to analysis of chemo-radiation sensitizing gene expression. Twelve of 13 patients in high sensitive group resulted in down stage, whereas 10 of 11 patients in low sensitive group resulted in down stage. Eleven of 13 patients in high sensitive group resulted in group1 for colonoscopic biopsy after chemo-radiation, whereas 2 of 11 patients in low sensitive group resulted in group1. Four of 13 patients in high sensitive group resulted in histopathological complete cure in excised organ after surgery. There were extramural cancer deposits without lymph node structures in 2 of 13 patients in high sensitive group, whereas 7 of 11 patients in low sensitive group. It was not clear of the effect of chemo-radiation sensitizing gene expression.
