We investigated the possibility that sera in patients with Kawasaki disease has unique antibody reacting to endothelial cells. We performed proteomic analysis using sera by 2D-DIGE(2 dimensional Fluorescence Difference Gel Electrophoresis), and found that patients have several unique antibodies which react to proteins expressed in endothelial cells. By quantitative analysis by ELISA assay, patients with Kawasaki disease have higher amount of one of the antibody. Generation of the auto-antibody may underlie the pathogenesis of Kawasaki disease
