The objective of this study is to clear the share resist mechanism of wooden hip roof structure as diaphragm. The experimental parameters were roof figure, beam flame length ratio, gradient of roof and with/without rafter fastener. We tested and got data of load-displacement curves, calculated the specific values as diaphragm from those data. The experimental values corresponded with the FEM model's values approximately to 1/60 rad displacement degree. If we express the spring model in each joint as mathematically, the design formula would be obtained.
