Development of a mouse model of the infection with Streptococcus dysgalactiae subspecies equisimilis.

从1例败血症致多器官功能衰竭患者体内分离出等同亚种等乳链球菌RE378，将其单次皮下感染表达CD46的转基因(TG)小鼠双后足，诱导小鼠踝关节关节炎。CD46Tg小鼠后踝切片的组织病理学结果显示，破骨细胞的形成与滑膜的炎症有关。比较基因组序列分析显示，预测的43个毒力相关因子包括假定的黏附蛋白和核酸酶。

Ankle arthritis was induced by a single subcutaneous infection od the Streptococcus dysgalactiae subspecies equisimilis strain RE378, which was isolated from a patient suffering from multiple organ failure due to septicaemia, into both hind footpads of human CD46-expressing transgenic(Tg) mice. The histopathological findings in the hind ankle sections of CD46 Tg mice showed the stimulation of osteoclast formation associated with inflammation of the synovial membrane. The comparative genome sequence analysis revealed that the 43 predicted virulence-related factors including putative adhesion proteins and nucleases.
