The analysis for association of the polymorphisms of Stx prophage and host genome sequences in the production of Vero-toxin of enterohemorrhagic Echerichia coli

本研究旨在分析肠出血性大肠杆菌（EHEC） stx2或stx2c下游区域的多态性序列。通过系统发育分析，stx2c下游区域的多态性序列聚在两组，无stx基因型和血清型。stx2-下游区域的多态序列呈现出3个簇，一个簇中仅含有O157，另一个簇中主要含有非O157。stx2下游区域的多态性序列与宿主血清型之间存在关联。

This study was performed to analyze the polymorphic sequences of the downstream regions of stx2 or stx2c in enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC). By the phylogenic analysis, the polymorphic sequences of stx2c downstream regions were clustered in two groups without stx genotypes or serotype. The polymorphic sequences in stx2-downstream regions showed 3 clusters, one cluster with only O157 and the other clusters with main non-O157. The association was found between the polymorphic sequences in stx2-downstream regions and the host serotypes.
