The molecular basis of substrate recognition by KSHV MIR

MIR是KSHV编码的膜相关泛素连接酶家族。MIR是一种免疫逃避分子，因为它通过泛素化诱导免疫受体的溶酶体降解。在本研究中，我发现MIR的跨膜区和胞外区在免疫受体识别中起着至关重要的作用。为了阐明这种识别的分子基础，我开发了一种重组MIR表达系统和一种用于NMR分析的纯化/增溶方法。

MIR is a membrane associated ubiquitin ligase family encoded in KSHV. MIR is an immune evasion molecule because it induces the lysosomal degradation of immunoreceptors by ubiquitination. In this study, I found that both transmembrane and extracellular region of MIR play a crucial role in immunoreceptor recognition. To clarify the molecular basis of this recognition, I developed a recombinant MIR expression system and a purification/solubilization method for NMR analysis.
