英文摘要
Charge barrier and size barrier have been postulated as a glomerular filtration barrier. We found less staining of WGA lectin which recognizes sialic acid in glomeruli of STZ-induced diabetic mice by histochemical staining and immuno-blotting method, indicating the decrease of negative charge. However, comprehensive analysis of murine glomerular protein which decreased in its WGA-binding property by mass spectrometry to date did not reveal any candidate protein such as podocalyxin which has been supposed to be a carrier of negative charge.
