项目摘要

本研究では、現在、役割が増していながら十分な支援策が制度化されていない家族介護について、新たな支援策を考えることを目的とする。これまでの家族介護支援に関する先行研究では家族介護者の権利やニーズが着目されている。これらの介護者の権利の議論では、ケアを受ける立場とは明確に区分された家族介護者のニーズを対象とした「家族介護者支援」が議論されている。しかし、家族介護のケアリングという相互関係の特質を考えると、家族介護支援を介護者の立場だけで議論することには、限界がある。そこで本研究では、家族介護の実態や支援策の現状から、現在日本に置かれている家族介護の課題を明らかにし、今後どのような家族介護支援策が必要かについて検討する。具体的には、研究期間内に、研究1 家族介護の実態からのニーズの把握、研究2 現行の家族支援策の検討、研究3 家族介護支援策の国際比較の3つの研究課題に取り組んだ。前年度までは、次の実証研究・理論研究を行った。実証研究(研究1・研究2の課題に関連し、研究1国内での家族介護者・高齢者に対するインタビュー調査、研究1・研究2・研究3 実証研究のための文献調査・先行研究の収集整理、研究2国内の家族介護支援策の状況把握を行った。本年度は、これまでの研究成果の総括を行った。年度前半は、実証研究のデータの分析を深めた。研究1に関しては、インタビュー調査のデータを分析し、実証研究の成果と理論研究の成果の接続を図った。研究年度後半は、今後は、これらの研究成果の公表をめざし、福祉社会学会、日本社会学会など関連学会での報告、および学会誌への投稿を行う予定である。
