Development of a continuing education system in nursing to promote the professional development of clinical instructors

本研究旨在建立护理继续教育体系，以促进临床带教老师的专业发展。该系统的开发分为四个阶段：(A)采用定性和归纳法探索临床带教教师的榜样行为和学习需求。(B)根据定性和归纳研究结果，开发临床教师教育需求评估工具(CIENAT)和临床教师学习需求评估工具(CILNAT)。(C)找出临床导师在临床环境下教授护生时所遇到的问题。(D)综合这些研究结果，为临床导师发展护理持续教育制度。该系统支持针对临床带教老师实际遇到的问题来规划教育方案，以帮助临床带教老师克服这些问题。

The purpose of this study was to develop a continuing education system in nursing to promote the professional development of clinical instructors. There were four stages in developing the system: (a) Exploring the role model behaviors and the learning needs of clinical instructors by qualitative and inductive method. (b) Developing an Educational Needs Assessment Tool for Clinical Instructors (CIENAT) and a Learning Needs Assessment Tool for Clinical Instructors (CILNAT) based on qualitative and inductive research findings. (c) Identifying the problems encountered by clinical instructors while teaching nursing students in clinical setting. (d) Developing the continuing education system in nursing for clinical instructors through integrating these research findings. This system supports to plan the educational programs focused on the problems which clinical instructors actually encounter to overcome the problems by clinical instructors.
