Representation of female teachers of physical education has been dependent on context, and they are not always socially depreciated. And there was disconnect between women's movements and promoting physical education and sport for girls since the Taisho era.In the postwar period, despite rise of feminism, female researchers and teachers in the field of sport and physical education didn't so much addressed feminist issues including career development of themselves but investigated how to make a contribution to the field of sport and physical education as "taiiku-jin".

体育女教师的代表性一直取决于环境，她们并不总是受到社会的贬低。自大正时代以来，妇女运动与推动女童体育运动之间出现了脱节。在战后时期，尽管女权主义兴起，但体育领域的女性研究人员和教师并没有太多地讨论包括自身职业发展在内的女权主义问题，而是研究如何像太极镇那样为体育领域做出贡献。
