A Study of T. S. Eliot's Concept of Culture through Literary and Art Magazines during Modernism

本研究通过对t·s·艾略特主编的文学杂志《标准》的文章和评论进行分析，探讨艾略特当时的社会现状和周围的文化网络，厘清艾略特创作的背景。特别是以现代主义时期英国的美国化为研究对象，考察了他的文化观是如何形成的。

Through analyzing articles and reviews printed in a literary magazine The Criterion, which was edited by T. S. Eliot, the research explored the then current social situation and the cultural network around Eliot, and clarified the background of Eliot’ s work. In particular , focusing on articles concerning Americanization in Britain during the modernism, the research examined how his concept of culture was formed.
