The development of inanimate subject passive in Modern Day Japanese-On the influence of the development of potential verb

本研究考察了明治和大正时期语料库中“稀有”助词的被动用法。据说，在江户时代以前，日语中的无生命主语被动句很少，而在明治时代以后就开始流传开来。我们找出了明治书面文本中有哪些类型的无生命主语被动。

This study investigates the passive usage of the particle -rare- in Corpus of Meiji and Taisho periods. It is said that there ware few types of inanimate subject passive in Japanese before Edo Era and they spread out after Meiji period. We found out what types of inanimate subject passive there were in Meiji written text.
